Well, in this article, we’ll be building a dictionary app, for humans. Twist? We won’t write code. We’ll program our apps using Blocky by Google.

“It can’t turn into a real-world project. Ever!”, they said.
“It will. Even if it doesn’t score you 200/100 at exams, it would surely impress your fiance(e).” I replied.

Incase you’re not just blindly following, rather, understanding and implementing, then you’re ready to use any other App Inventor distros including, but not limited to, 

As already stated, I’ll be using Niotron, and, for UI, app assets, 

For headstart, App Inventor and its distros lets you create apps via drag and drag without tackling installation issues, or complex programming concepts. And, if you’re a enthusiast, a tester, a student, or just someone curious, I can gurantee that you’ll be able to build your first app by just following this tutorial.

Login to Niotron. Create a new project. Name it

In our blocks, we’re fetching the index of “1.” and extracting a segment with index of

Finally we’re just displaying the data, hiding/showing a few components and a little functionality to read out word’s definition, although it should ideally read the word for those looking for pronunciation. Anyways, you do it as you desire. Implement, share, save, you got the point?

TinyDB is a persistent data storage. All apps when killed are reinitialized each time they run. This erases value of all variables (named memory location / container to store values). Therefore, to persist values, even when user kills the app, we store it using TinyDB. It’s similar to how localStorage works in JavaScript.

Similar to JSON, TinyDB store values in a key-value pair. Here, I’ve defined a tag “

Was it actually a smirk… or was I trying to hide a sliver of uncertainty behind it?
Well, that’s exactly what this article intends to uncover.

On 29 Oct, 2025, while casually scrolling YouTube, I stumbled upon a short titled “

” by CodeWithHarry. Now, at first glance it felt like just another “AI bubble” story.
But it wasn’t.
It was… genuinely mind-bending.

The video revolves around Derek Thompson’s article “

” Combine that with Nauroze Ahmad’s analysis, and suddenly every puzzle piece slides into place, forming one beautiful landscape scenery. And if you’re not a nature person (like my friend obsessed with visiting Shanghai or Mumbai), then replace “landscape scenery” with “your fiancée,” “biryani,” or whatever fuels your serotonin.

Before I present the all-dots-connected revelation, have a look at this:

Notice how investment skyrockets while revenue stays stubbornly at ₹ 1.07 lakh crore?

 from Walmart (full-stack) and talk about the AI bubble. And honestly, upon introspection, it felt like my mind cracked open. Truly, The Most Merciful is ever-kind to those who call upon Him.

Being someone who knows Java as well, let me abstract and summarise what he said:


“Today, AI is replacing developers because it’s cheap. Tomorrow, developers will replace AI because it will be too expensive.”

Look at the graph. They’re pouring ₹33–35 lakh crore into AI (yes, lakh crore — let that sink). If I invest ₹50 lakh in an asset, wouldn’t I expect at least double in return?

Movies are made for ₹30 crore, let’s say. Doesn’t the director expect ₹150 crore back?

And look at GTA 6. Rockstar reportedly burned through the equivalent of ₹16,000 crore+.
Do you really think they didn’t calculate projected earnings before swiping their corporate credit card?

“I see,” they said.
“Perfect,” I replied.

When companies invest lakhs of crores, they aren’t playing charity. Every AI model now has pro, plus, premium, ultra-premium, basically subscription ladders taller than Burj Khalifa.

Remember Jio? Free calls, free internet for 6–9 months. And now? They dominate. Aircel, Telenor, Uninor -> evaporated. That initial “loss”? Pure strategy.

Similarly, AI companies are flooding the market with tools and upgrade plans.


“Isn’t that evil?” they asked.
“No, absolutely not,” I replied.

AI will grow more expensive. Developers will become cheaper. That’s how the bubble bursts.

According to his market analysis, AI will still grow; massively. Until eventually governments may be forced to impose a balance: 


But take heed: don’t depend on AI. Use it as an assistant. Don’t worship it. (He was referring to Sam Altman’s reply on the 

 claiming that “please/thank you processing costs OpenAI millions.”)

“Why should I believe any of this wasn’t a waste of time?”

One of my cousins moved to a new city. They needed a house-help. Found one, but she was expensive. So they replaced her with a robot vacuum cleaner. They were thrilled.. until reality set in.

The human house-help cleaned the bottoms of sofas, the corners of walls, the sofa covers.
Kalua did not.

What looked like money saved slowly became money wasted. Today? The robot sits in the corner like a decorative artifact while a human house-help handles the real cleaning.

This isn’t about abandoning Blogger or Joomla or Kodular. In fact, I recently built a friend's site using Joomla. It was mostly plugins, a bit of custom code here and there. These tools still matter. They serve their purpose. And I will use whatever tech is best suited for the task.

As a student, I was constantly sending notes to friends — scattered across chats, email, or PDFs. I needed a better system. So I built 

 — a simple, private Android app to share and access notes effortlessly. No more scroll-hunting or lost files.

Airtable gave me spreadsheet simplicity with RESTful power. I used it for everything — storing notes, static legal pages, user accounts, and feedback.

Inspired by Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines (HIG), I kept the UI clean and modern:
